Kurti A short tunic many times with embroidery. Kurtis with chikan embroidery are popular.
Salwar A pair of light loose trousers witha tight fit around the ankles usually worn with a kameez
Churidar A pair of fitted pants that is snug around the calf and ankle with gathering.
Lengha A long full skirt usually embellished with embroidery

Kameez A long tunic about knee-length or beyond. The tunic is usually worn with salwar or churidar
Chunni or dupatta A rather large scarf worn by women to compliment a salwar-kameez
Choli Traditional Indian blouse, worn with saree or ghagara. Very short and closely fitted, it usually ties at the back with single ties or a criss-cross shoe-lace style drawstring, or it ties into a knot at the front in the middle of the chest.
Ghagara A long flared skirt made of several panels of material, a matching choli or top and a Chunnri. Usually heavily embellished, it is traditionally worn by women of Rajasthan.
Lacha A long skirt and and tunic combination along with a chunni makes up a complete set
Nehru This style of jacket was single breasted and slightly fitted with a band collar. It was based on a traditional Indian jacket and named after the Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru because he commonly wore this traditional garment. It can be with or without arms
